The mighty Hunter has humbled me by reminded me of the impending release of my favorite band, Wovenhand. I had it in mind when thinking about what releases to include and then managed to forget it. So here it is;

What you see above (click for larger image) is the artwork from the new release from Wovenhand entitled, The Threshing Floor. Scheduled for a June 22nd release via their long standing label, Sounds Familyre. I have yet to hear anything from the album so I honestly am not sure what to expect since each release introduces something new to their hauntingly dark interpretation of Americana. As many of you know, I connect with David Eugene Edwards’ lyrics more than any artist in the music scene, past, present, and likely, future. As their past albums have done, I expect this to be in my top 5 of the year.
