33 Beers: A Beer Journal for Beer Geeks

They say necessity is the mother of invention, but alcohol helps, too. Born from attending a few too many beer festivals, 33 Beers is a beer journal that provides an easy way to record tasting notes in a small, convenient notebook format. It’s designed for beer geeks, by beer geeks.

So says the 33 Beers website

I have been looking for a while for an objective standard by which to consistently judge the new beers that I try. I think i’ve found it. The 33 Beers beer journal provides a way to judge and rate your beers using a flavor whee and a five star rating system. It also lets you record stats about the beer such as the date you imbibed it, the method by which it was imbibed, stats about the beer (such as IBU, ABV, OG and TG) and any notes you want to add. I conveniently fits in your pocket so it’s not a pain to carry around. The Journals go for $4 each (plus shipping) or 3 for $10 (plus shipping). The three pack will give you 99 beer reviews which, in my humble opinion, is a great value. The Theology Pub recommends the 33 Beers beer journal and finds it to be a great solution if faced with the problem of finding a good way to judge and rate your beers.
